Terms of use
Last updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By using the Event Maps app, you accept these terms of use. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
2. Service description
Event Maps is an event-discovery app, active in France and South Korea. It lets users share and discover local events in real time, posted by other users or imported from public sources (see section 10).
3. Terms of use
- You must be at least 15 years old to use Event Maps, or the minimum digital consent age set by the law of your country of residence if higher.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile information.
- You agree not to post illegal, offensive, or misleading content.
- Posted events must be real.
- Spam, unsolicited advertising, and fake events are prohibited.
4. User content
By posting an event or a photo, you grant Event Maps a non-exclusive license to display that content to other users. You remain the owner of your content.
You warrant that you hold all necessary rights to the content you post. Posting content protected by a third party's copyright without authorization is prohibited.
If you believe content posted on Event Maps infringes your copyright, contact us at contact@eventmaps.fr with a description of the content and evidence of your rights. Reported content will be reviewed and removed if it is found to be genuinely infringing.
Event Maps reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms, without notice, and to suspend or delete any account that repeatedly posts infringing content.
5. Liability
Event Maps is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of events posted by users. Participation in an event is at your own risk.
Event Maps is not responsible for interactions between users.
Some information shown (translation, category, timing) is generated or checked automatically by AI systems and may contain errors. Verify important details (timing, price, address) with the source or organizer before heading out.
6. Changes and termination
Event Maps reserves the right to change these terms at any time. Changes will be notified in the app. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
Event Maps may suspend or delete an account in case of violation of these terms.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent jurisdiction.
8. Location-based service (South Korea)
Event Maps is a location-based service (위치기반서비스) under South Korea's Act on the Protection, Use, Etc. of Location Information. This clause supplements the Privacy Policy for users located in South Korea.
Location is used only in real time to display nearby events and is never stored on our servers (see Privacy Policy, section 1).
You can withdraw your consent at any time from your device settings; the nearby-events feature will then be unavailable.
For any question or complaint about your location information: contact@eventmaps.fr
9. Prohibition of automated extraction and AI use
Any automated, systematic, or substantial extraction of Event Maps content (events, descriptions, images, location data) by a bot, scraper, crawler, or any other automated tool is strictly prohibited without Event Maps' prior written authorization.
The database compiled by Event Maps is protected under the sui generis right of database producers (Articles L341-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code). Any extraction or substantial reuse of its content without authorization constitutes a violation of this right.
Using Event Maps content, in whole or in part, to train, feed, or evaluate an artificial intelligence or machine learning model is prohibited without prior written authorization.
Any violation of this clause may result in immediate suspension of access to the service, deletion of the account concerned, and legal action to recover damages.
10. Event data sources
Some events shown in Event Maps come from public datasets reused in accordance with their respective licenses, in particular the French Open Licence (Licence Ouverte / Etalab) for French public data (partner cities and metropolitan areas: Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes, Clermont-Ferrand, Tours, Toulouse, Côtes-d'Armor, Nice).
Some events also come from the OpenAgenda network (openagenda.com) and France Évasion / DATAtourisme, reused in accordance with their respective terms of use.
Other events come from partner ticketing and event platforms (Ticketmaster, JamBase, Fever) and Korean cultural and sports organizations (KOPIS, Korea Tourism Organization, Seoul Metropolitan Government).
These sources are independent of Event Maps, which cannot guarantee the accuracy, freshness, or availability of their content. To report an error on an imported event, contact us at contact@eventmaps.fr.
