And what if repairing becomes a form of resistance to obsolescence and disposability? We are made of mendings and stitched-together pieces. That is our strength. Facing the sense of collective powerlessness, this project proposes a simple and concrete action: repair. Inspired by the Japanese boro, a popular technique of repair and textile reuse, the collaborative work is made from used clothing, offcuts and reclaimed fabrics.
