Ink-on-rice-paper kakemono: vegetal theme
Culture · Sunday, November 22 · 10:00 · Nantes
Atelier Le Coquillage et l’Oreille, 5 bd Adolphe Billault
Originally, the kakemono refers to a hanging object that is a Japanese artwork illustrating a painting or calligraphy. It appears in the form of a fabric scroll, intended to be displayed vertically. The practice of ink on rice paper is carried out with the momentum of the gesture in colorful play. Precision is not the essence of the exercise but rather that of the colorful composition with initiative and intuition. We will execute the drawing of 1.6 m height by 50 cm width over two Sundays with the collection of plant motifs prepared by you.
