Concert: Kalarash Duo at the Temple of Vandoncourt

Temple

Push open the temple door of Vandoncourt on a November Saturday evening, and the bow sets the tone: tonight, we head east. Far. To the Balkans. Duo Kalarash draws from two repertoires that respond to each other. On one side klezmer, the instrumental music of Central European Jewish communities. On the other, Romanian Gypsy songs and tunes. Agathe Llorca moves from violin to mandolin, David Lefebvre handles guitar and singing. Two musicians, one shared passion for music that dances as much as it tells. This concert is part of the Samedis de Vando… series.
