EVA OLLIKAINEN / BEATRICE RANA
Music · Friday, November 6 · 20:00 · Toulouse
HALLE AUX GRAINS, 1 Place Dupuy
The author of Hungarian Dances infuses a small gypsy touch into his ambitious Piano Concerto No. 2, in many respects marking it. As for Lutosławski, he selects Polish melodies as the framework that he weaves in his own way in the Symphony Concerto. The two composers align with the favorite repertoires of the invited artists for this concert: Eva Ollikainen is passionate about contemporary music, while Beatrice Rana, familiar with Brahms whom she also performs in recital, was keen to perform this piece for her first appearance with the Capitole Orchestra.
