[Théâtre] Paradoxe

/ 1 Boulevard Berigny, Dieppe Scène Nationale

He has, as he himself put it, 'a face that doesn't allow for long silences'. Long beard, imposing presence, gentle gaze and sharp pen, Umut Köker stands out in the stand-up scene. With Paradoxe, his first show, he weaves between intimate confidences and clear-eyed observations about the world: Turkish and Kurdish origins, childhood in a suburban tower block, ascent to a building in La Défense, singleness, ordinary racism. Hilarious and poignant, his humor advocates for one thing: learning to look beyond appearances.
