Guided tour focusing on writers and artists from the United States who left their mark on Saint-Germain-des-Prés. James Baldwin, Natalie C. Barney, Sylvia Beach… How lesbian and gay writers and artists contributed to the quartier's myth, and wrote from Paris a page of 20th-century American literature. In the interwar and postwar periods, these individuals wrote and/or published essays and novels that illuminate not only the experiences of sexual minorities but also racism, sexism, and repression in Western societies.
