Performed reading - The retrospective of what preceded us

Culture · Friday, November 20 · 18:30 · Metz

Le Centre Pompidou-Metz, 1 parvis des Droits-de-l'Homme

To echo Philippe Quesne's Paradox of John, Laura Vazquez, poet and novelist, reads a text alone on stage in response. The reading is not a reproduction of a pre-written poem; it happens live, with hesitations, repetitions, moments of improvisation, and changes of tempo. The body keeps the rhythm as much as the voice. One sentence slows down, another breaks, a melody settles and then dissolves. The text is assembled from excerpts of various poems written recently.
