Screen Ballet: La Bayadère
Show · Sunday, January 31 · 16:00 · Senlis
10 rue du cimetière Saint-Rieul 60300 SENLIS
La Bayadère is a jewel of the Paris Opera repertoire, telling the forbidden love between warrior Solor and the bayadère Nikiya in an imagined India where a giant elephant parades before the rajah’s palace and a golden idol replaces the fan-dance. The ballet dazzles with virtuoso variations, impressive ensembles, and the Act of Shadows, a moment when 32 white-tutued dancers rise to weave a scene of remarkable purity.
