Jean-François Bauret (1932–2014) is one of the most well-known French photographers of his generation. He is best remembered for his nudes and his work for advertising. In his commissions as in his personal projects, he uses pared-down compositions, presenting bodies in a direct way and playing with black-and-white contrasts.
