Théâtre de Charleville-Mézières - Place du théâtre
Through the simplicity of dance and the presence of bodies, Matière(s) première(s) questions the power dynamics between Africa and the West, the mechanisms of post-colonial domination, and the looting of resources. Anne Nguyen combines raw and virtuosic gesture with a geometric and pared-down choreographic writing. The six dancers lead you into a trance of urban and traditional dances on a soundtrack that blends African, Afro-American, and electronic music. This explosive choreography reveals both the beauty and the brutality of the world. 1h15+ ages 8 and up
