In collaboration with the Compagnie Tortue Théâtre, for the residency’s concluding performance, a public, partial and free restitution will take place. In Seville, in 18th-century Spain, Rosine, an orphaned girl, is held captive by her guardian, Doctor Bartholo, helped by his greedy right-hand man Basile. Promised to marry her guardian, whom she detests, she falls in love with a mysterious lover who flatters her in secret. Count Almaviva will do anything, aided by his former valet Figaro, to win Rosine’s heart and rescue her from the desires of the stern and jealous Bartholo.
