The Gauls
Show · Tuesday, November 3 · 19:00 · Morlaix
Théâtre du Pays de Morlaix, 27 Rue de Brest
In an imaginary and unstable Gaul, two Gauls question their origins through an “epic Gaulish” burlesque. Borne by a burlesque duo (Olivier Martin-Salvan and Thomas Blanchard), the play reinvents the Gaulish myth to interrogate today’s France. Written by Marion Aubert and staged in a colorful visual universe created by Clédat and Petitpierre, this show uses sharp humor to destabilize the “national novel,” while confronting the rise of nationalisms and the influence of oligarchs.
