A Glass of One's Own
Show · Saturday, November 7 · 20:30 · Hérouville-Saint-Clair
Comédie de Caen - Théâtre d'Hérouville, 1 Square du Théâtre
A woman, with a topknot, wearing a pencil dress and patent shoes, welcomes the audience in the theatre bar for a wine tasting. At the piano, beside her, Benjamin Pras creates a cabaret-soft mood. Gradually, beneath this neat appearance, her world tears apart: her hair loosens, her heels evaporate, and her gaze becomes more candid. The piano bucks, the obedient words fly away, along with the expectations weighing on her. A new woman emerges from the first: a passionate cultivator, revealing a world of hard work. Claire Barrabès's language plays with the words that carry the voice.
