The Petit Palais presents an unpublished monograph dedicated to the painter Eva Gonzalès (1847-1883), before a stop at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in February 2027. Contemporary of Mary Cassatt and of Berthe Morisot, to whom she is often associated, Eva Gonzalès has never been the subject of a large retrospective, neither in France nor internationally. This artist with a subtle sensibility was the unique pupil of Édouard Manet, with whom she maintained an exceptional artistic relationship.
