Spectacle - La Traviata
Music · Thursday, December 3 · 20:00 · Aix-en-Provence
380 avenue Max Juvénal, Grand Théâtre de Provence
The conductor of the Harmony Circle, in residence at the Grand Théâtre de Provence since 2018, makes the Verdi masterwork vibrate thanks to a top-notch cast. Between Parisian evenings and intimate moments, Violetta, a courtesan with a big heart, loves Alfredo passionately. Icon of doomed passion, the heroine embodies the eternal conflict between individual desire and social norms. Verdi sublimates human vulnerability: from the joyful brindisi (Libiamo ne’ lieti calici) to the pathetic finale (Addio del passato), the music transfigures pain into timeless catharsis.
