Did you know Sainte-Marie Cathedral had no spires until the end of the 19th century? Master mason, painter and architect Émile Boeswillwald oversees a colossal construction. The showcase gathers witnesses of this incredible renewal: preparatory drawings, construction site photography and plaster face molds used as models by stonemasons. Presented by the Heritage City Service of Art and History in partnership with the DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Basque Museum and History of Bayonne and the Médiathèque.
