Cheb Hasni, king of rai and an icon for an entire generation, here presents his last interview and the only one ever filmed before his assassination in a street in Oran in 1994 at the age of 26. After singing songs of love and social turmoil, he was the banner of a youth seeking hope in an Algeria scarred by the black decade.
