The Ensemble Vocal de Bigorre, with the participation of the early music ensemble Turba Consort, is pleased to present a concert of English vocal music, from the Renaissance to the 21st century. About fifteen English composers are performed. Voice and instruments respond to each other in a journey where sacred and secular music mingle, contemplation, love, mourning and celebration. From prayer to festivity, from intimacy to ceremony, this concert thus highlights the expressive power of the voice and the richness of the English musical tradition.
