The Gauls
Show · Wednesday, November 4 · 19:00 · Morlaix
Théâtre du Pays de Morlaix, 27 Rue de Brest
Set in an imagined and unstable Gaul, two Gauls question their origins through an epic Gaulish burlesque. Carried by the burlesque comic duo Olivier Martin-Salvan and Thomas Blanchard, the play reinvents the Gaulish myth to critique today’s France. Written by Marion Aubert and staged in a colorful visual universe created by Clédat and Petitpierre, this show uses incisive humor to shake the “national narrative,” while confronting the rise of nationalisms and the influence of oligarchs.
