The Petit Palais presents an unpublished monograph devoted to the painter Eva Gonzalès (1847-1883), before a step at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in February 2027. A contemporary of Mary Cassatt and Berthe Morisot, who are often associated with her, Eva Gonzalès has never had a major retrospective in France or internationally. This artist with subtle sensibility was the only pupil of Édouard Manet, with whom she had an exceptional artistic relationship.
