Cine-Concert – The Vikings

Rue Pierre de Coubertin

This Hollywood vision of Viking conquerors was a huge success upon its 1958 release, led by stars such as Ernest Borgnine, Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, and Janet Leigh. Beyond its sometimes kitschy aesthetic, 'The Vikings' is a true epic, a retelling of an era today reinterpreted through a new original score composed by Norwegian Martin Romberg. This music will be performed live during the screening by the musicians of the Ensemble de l’Opéra Normandie Rouen, specialists in cine-concert, a form of artistic where cinema and music merge.
