Dina Vierny, a Free Voice

Théâtre de l'Atelier Bleu

With Stéphanie Acquette, directed by Sylvie Pothier, Dina Vierny, a Free Voice traces the singular journey of Dina Vierny, a major figure of 20th-century art. A Russian émigré, Jewish, muse of Maillol, friend of the Surrealists, resistance fighter, singer, collector and then founder of a museum, she was above all a woman who opposed to the violence of History an uncompromising freedom. Through text and music, the show makes audible an inspiring voice freed from assigned roles, whose artistic and political commitment marks her century.
