1957, Moscow. In the midst of the Cold War, as the space race accelerates, Laïka, a dog, struggles to survive in the frozen streets of the city. She still does not know that her fate will propel her aboard the Sputnik II spacecraft, making her the first living being to orbit the Earth. An unwilling heroine, symbol of scientific conquest, but also a silent victim of human ambitions.
