The Normandie's brief career, from its launch in 1932 until the outbreak of the war, nevertheless makes it the most luxurious ship of its era. On board, the daily lives of passengers were enriched with theater, cinema, and of course music. The onboard music of the Normandie was firmly rooted in its time, often pairing the classics of the day with popular tunes from jazz, Charleston, operettas and other music-halls. This narrative evening will convey the spirit of the Roaring Twenties, in counterpoint with numerous period photos and videos of this ship.
