Between lullabies that drive away spirits, songs of resistance, nocturnal trances and forbidden loves, the night wears its finest finery in Italian, French, Castilian, Catalan and the Apulian dialect. By the dim candlelight, or in a chiaroscuro with a thousand variations, shadows come alive, instruments rise — violin, viola and diatonic accordion — and mingle with the powerful, spellbinding voices of the musicians, for a performance in the form of an intimate vigil.
