The Rite of the Profane
Show · Friday, November 13 · 20:30 · Toulouse
THEATRE DU PAVE, 34 Rue Maran
Why isn't the audience as loud or as participatory as it used to be? The Sacre des Profanes answers some of these questions by looking at the history of theatre actors—through the evolution of their social conditions, their profession, and how society treats them. More than a historical mural, the play aims to (re)highlight those who have been made invisible, or even erased, and to shift the gaze. Because this story mirrors the broader history, that of the men and women of the past.
