But Lisel loves to run, to sing, to plunge her hands into flour and sugar as if diving into a dream. As Christmas approaches, Lisel loves to meet her grandmother in the warmth of the kitchen, amid the scents of vanilla, cinnamon and bredele just out of the oven.
