If François Gremaud's theatre is deeply corporeal, he owes much of it to his brother Christian, Deaf. Mon Frère was born from an ancient, long-suppressed desire: to give him a voice. By weaving three parallel stories – that of Sign Language, that of Christian, and that of the creation of the show – Mon Frère is at once a political act, an artistic act, and an act of love.
