An extraordinary artist, a Vendéen by adoption, a Brazilian at heart, a wanderer of words, images and sound, Pierre Barouh (1934-2016) was a “walker.” Over more than sixty years of encounters and creations, as his travels led him, he sowed his rhymes and signed more than 200 songs (including several international hits) among which are: Un homme et une femme, Des ronds dans l’eau, A bicyclette, Samba Saravah. He also directed his own films (about twenty feature-length fiction and documentaries), and also unveiled and accompanied a multitude of artists (Brigitte Fontaine, …)
