At 10 years old, Matthieu fell from a ladder and became disabled. Twenty-five years later, he takes the stage. It took time, but that was because there was no accessible ramp. En bas de l’échelle is Matthieu Nina’s first solo show, written with the collaboration of Pierre-Emmanuel Barré and Arsen. The tone is unapologetic: dark humor, self-deprecation, and a willingness to go where 'one would not dare.' Every night he tackles what scares him, what hurts, and succeeds in making people laugh in the very space of pain. Age 14 and up.
