Jason Mist concert

Espace Henri Emmanuelli, Avenue Carnot

Originating from New Caledonia, Jason Mist is a songwriter, performer and guitarist. In his quest to modernize “roots” music, he offers a clever blend of folk, blues, rock and reggae, sprinkled with Indian music and sounds from his native island. The result is a unique and original sound that transcends genres and is open to the world. His instrument of choice is the Hawaiian slide guitar, called Weissenborn. It produces a smooth sound with almost mystical resonances. Eager to preserve this tradition but also to evolve it, Jason explores the boundaries of his art.
