Spectacle in Figeac: Son of a Bastard

espace Mitterrand, pl P. Renaud

From Congo to Antarctic, via Libya, follow the journey of a son who went to find his father. Having for only legacy three maps of different continents, this son in search of truth, ends up seeing emerge, after several years, an improbable figure: that of his mother, heroine of the shadows. Alternating slam, music, mime, Emmanuel De Candido weaves a taut narrative against the backdrop of documentary investigation. A blazing and intimate epic that deconstructs notions of kinship, inheritance and virility.
