Ciné-concert MAUPRAT adapted from the George Sand novel

Place Anne Sylvestre

Ciné-concert MAUPRAT adapted from the George Sand novel (1837). The film, shot on the novel's locations between Sainte-Sévère and Nohant in the Berry beloved by George Sand, tells the fate of Bernard de Mauprat from brigandage to his decisive meeting with the brave Edmée, blending romance and feminism. For this ciné-concert, Gilles Chabenat (electro-acoustic hurdy-gurdy), Nicolas Mingot (acoustic and electric guitars) and Yannick Hardouin (bass guitar and piano) join to offer a musical interpretation that fuses popular forms and contemporary sonic textures.
