Jean-François Bauret (1932-2014) is one of the best-known French photographers of his generation. He is mainly remembered for his nudes and his work for advertising. In his commissions as in his personal projects, he implements pared-down compositions, presenting bodies in a direct way and playing with contrasts of black and white. In his early work, from 1959, he also photographed many artists, famous or still unknown to the general public, at their homes or in their studios. He thus immortalizes intimate moments…
