The Petit Palais presents an unpublished monograph devoted to the painter Eva Gonzalès (1847-1883), before a stop at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in February 2027. Contemporary of Mary Cassatt and of Berthe Morisot, whom she is often associated with, Eva Gonzalès has never had a major retrospective, neither in France nor internationally. This artist of subtle sensibility was the only pupil of Édouard Manet, with whom she maintained an exceptional artistic relationship.
