Pokémon are far from being simple imaginary creatures. Many of them are inspired by animals, plants, mushrooms, or creatures from Japanese folklore. Their creator, Satoshi Tajiri, passionate about nature since childhood, imagined this world by observing the insects he collected. Through this workshop, participants trace back to the origins of Pokémon by discovering the real species that inspired some iconic characters. Why does Scorplane look like a scorpion?
