Cycle ballets & opera: "The Story of Manon"
Show · Friday, December 4 · 20:00 · Étel
Cinéma La Rivière, 11 boulevard Charles de Gaulle
The Story of Manon, emblematic work of the Royal Ballet, will open the season. This poignant adaptation of the Abbé Prévost's novel, choreographed by one of Covent Garden's most influential dance directors, Kenneth MacMillan, takes us into the underbelly of 18th-century Paris where the young Manon lives and loses herself. The score by Jules Massenet and the sets by Nicholas Georgiadis wonderfully illustrate all her decadence and decline.
