Heritage in Resistance, from Tombouctou to Odessa

Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine, 1 , place du Trocadéro et du 11 Novembre

The exhibition brings together an exceptional collection of graphic documents, contemporary artworks and digital replicas of lost sites. In the manner of a major report, the installation weaves a documented, visual and sensitive narrative, where the perspectives of actors and witnesses, architects and artists intersect. From Tombouctou to Odessa, from Bâmiyân to Gaza, armed conflicts make heritage a prime target. In response to these destructions, the exhibition Patrimoines en résistance questions acts of erasure, but also the forms of resistance and repair that allow us to envision the past.
