Inspired by the texts of Prévert and the music of Wojciech Kilar, this adaptation takes the form of a sensitive and socially engaged choreographic fable, accessible to all audiences. A former solo dancer with the Ballet Preljocaj, Émilie Lalande develops a choreographic language based on the musicality of gesture — “to see the music and to listen to the dance,” Balanchine’s formula — and on the richness of interpretations offered to the spectator.
