Clay and its uses - Provence

Domaine départemental de Roques-Hautes

On this nature outing, join us in search of the treasures of the local nature. We will show you, through a carefully chosen route, the different types of soil and their uses. You will learn to recognize clay in its natural environment and we will explain how to gather, purify and render it ready for various uses (medicine, construction, kiln-making, pottery, cosmetics...). We will finish the walk with a practical session of wild pottery using local clay!
