The life of a suitcase

Le Thillot

This show traces the migratory journeys of people from the Vosges region. It features three suitcase-stage scenes: one from Italy, a war suitcase (on French soil, but with its own movements) and a suitcase from Algeria. The scenes inside the suitcases were created from life stories gathered from EHPAD residents (or with the help of their children or relatives), who shared their memories. They tell how they arrived in the Vosges, sometimes through displacements caused by war.
