For years Xan Padron has been recording the daily life of cities around the world through his Time Lapse series. The artist arrived in New York in 2004, initially working in editorial photography before launching the Time Lapse project in 2011. His ambition: to portray cities through the people who move through them. For each image, he carefully selects a setting—often a color wall—that becomes a backdrop, then photographs the flow of people, unseen.
