Le Scarron, Place des Jacobins
Formed in 2018, The Messthetics is a supergroup comprising bassist Joe Lally and drummer Brendan Canty from the legendary punk-hardcore project Fugazi, as well as guitarist Anthony Pirog. This trio with a “jazz punk jam” sound was quickly joined by saxophonist James Brandon Lewis, who brings a new dimension to their tracks, pushing musical explorations even further. Their first album as a quartet was released in spring 2024 on the iconic Impulse! label.
