Two years after Yé (Water) and its impressive human pyramids, the Guinean company Circus Baobab returns to Millau with Yongoyély, a term meaning “the exciser.” Six female circus artists, two bearers and a flyer push forward the independence of Guinean women, social pressure, the weight of traditions and fatalism, the refusal of the unacceptable, the intolerable razor blade that forever changes the lives and bodies of women and girls, putting their lives at risk once again.
