The Petit Palais presents an unpublished monograph devoted to the painter Eva Gonzalès (1847-1883), with a stop at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in February 2027. Contemporary of Mary Cassatt and Berthe Morisot, whom she is often associated with, Eva Gonzalès has nonetheless never had a major retrospective, neither in France nor internationally. This artist with subtle sensitivity was the sole pupil of Édouard Manet, with whom she maintained an exceptional artistic relationship.
