In response to Vive la mariée!, the Institut du monde arabe is organizing a cycle of roundtables on the social, cultural and contemporary issues of marriage in the Arab world.\n\nIn contemporary war contexts, war acts as a brake and constraint that can prevent or delay unions. Marriages do not disappear: they reinvent themselves.
