Les Franciscaines on Stage: Marguerite Duras and Cinema

Les Franciscaines - Deauville

From texts devoted to cinema, this show gives voice to a Marguerite Duras who is free, witty, and deeply innovative. A sensitive journey where words, light, and silence compose a homage to her imagination and her view of creation. Recorded in the early 1980s, these cinema-focused interviews reveal a little-known facet of Marguerite Duras. She revisits her work as a filmmaker, her collaborations with Delphine Seyrig, Michael Lonsdale, and Bruno Nuytten, and shares a unique reflection on gaze, memory, History and power.
