THEATER – CHESS PLAY. On October 21, 1858, the young prodigy Paul Morphy plays a game of chess against two opponents in an Italian-style theater during an opera. Léon takes us to a memorable 19th-century Paris evening, where a performance of Bellini’s opera Norma is unexpectedly interrupted by a chess game. Inspired by a real event, this jubilant show unfolds on a giant chessboard with colorful characters. The performance is followed by a snack and there is a parent-child chess workshop before the show.
