Singer, double bassist and composer, Sélène Saint-Aimé draws on the heritages, journeys and cultures that have shaped her path. With Creole Songs, she revisits chants from Louisiana, the Caribbean and Réunion in a pared-down form for a string trio, joined by Théo Ceccaldi (violin) and Guillaume Latil (cello). Driven by an inhabited, storytelling voice, her music weaves connections between cultures, eras and shores. A delicate yet vibrant concert where creolity becomes a common language.
